It gives an entire neighborhood of the city’s southern area its name. It was created in 1889, and its colors (pale blue, white, and red) mix the flags of Argentina and Switzerland, land of its founders.

Apart from its sporting activities, every weekend there is a celebration at this club located in Echesortu neighborhood, where its members and neighbors usually organize parties and social gatherings.

The club is a meeting place for various generations of the Echesortu neighborhood, which is located at the city’s geographic center, and it has over 1500 members and several important athletes.

Deportivo Unión Central

Popularly known as “La Carpita”, DUC was founded in 1946. It is located in the heart of the Industrial neighborhood, on the corner of Junín and Iguazú.

Barracas

Fortín Barracas

The historical club of the northern area of the city was created in 1935, through the merging of two soccer teams: Fortín and Barracas. At the beginning, its main activities were bocce and basketball.

Documentary series of 8 chapters. Its characters invite us to visit their clubs and to discover a polyphonic account with several facts in common related to passion, love, and collaborative construction of every space of neighborhood identity.

A chronicle can save a story from being forgotten; a chronicler always looks back at the universe of the familiar things from the perspectiveof the newcomer, narrating the world as if for the first time.

Hechos de barrio” (Neighborhood Stories) is an invitation to the celebration of the chronicle. It is a book produced thanks to the contribution of young chroniclers of this city, full of informative accuracy and literary beauty. It is available both in paper and for download.
